Dining on the Cape is a little different than on 30A. Restaurants are less numerous and most close by 9pm. Always call to confirm their hours, especially during the slower months.
Indian Pass Raw Bar: This is a must visit but it can be rather busy on a weekend evening. Beer and beverages are on the honor system. You are given a tally when you walk through the door. Uptown Raw Bar in Port St. Joe is the same concept.
Krazyfish Grille: Located in Port St. Joe, this place which offers inside and outside seating has excellent fish and shrimp tacos, an amazing grouper sandwich, fried shrimp and more. Good desserts, too!
St. Joe Shrimp Company: This little place is just south of our house (near The Tradin' Post). This is the place to get super fresh seafood to grill. And they have amazing lunch specials including gumbo and fried shrimp. (BTW, you can get fresh seafood at the Piggly Wiggly too!)
Peppers: This is a great Mexican place located in downtown Port St. Joe. It has a lively atmosphere, excellent tasting food at reasonable prices.
Provisions: This is an excellent Italian place located in downtown Port St. Joe. They also have seafood and other dishes. Their seared tuna appetizer is fantastic! Call for reservations on weekends.
Peachy's Beach Eats: This little spot is right next to the Cape Tradin' Post. They have a small menu of seafood sandwichs, tacos, and griddle cooked burgers. It will not disappoint. CASH OR CHECK only.
Weber's Little Donut Shop : Craving some donuts for breakfast? Just drive south of our house a bit (by the Tradin' Post) to this little place. It gets rave reviews! They usually open at 7:30 a.m., so get there early if you do not want to wait in line long. Try the old fashion donuts. CASH ONLY! There is an ATM machine in the Tradin' Post.
Paul Gant's BBQ: Want some good southern style BBQ? Try Paul Gant's BBQ in Port St. Joe. The pulled pork sandwich is huge and delicious!
Don't forget the Cape's two convenient grocery stores: Scallop Cove and The Cape Tradin' Post. Both offer deli sandwiches, burgers, pizza, etc. For other ideas, visit Trip Advisor. Have a place you love? Let me know.
